Dr. Ernst is a clinical mental health counselor and counselor supervisor with over 20 years experience providing direct mental health services and program implementation in agencies, schools, and private practice. A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the District of Columbia, Dr. Ernst completed her doctoral studies at the George Washington University and has specialized training and experience in: EMDR, Brainspotting, neuropsychological evaluation, learning disabilities/special education, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavior, and expressive therapies. With a creative and encouraging style, Dr. Ernst approaches her work from a strengths-based perspective rooted in normal human development, using integrated interventions to meet the unique and diverse needs of each individual and family.
